Sam Forrest (1936-2021)

Custom leaf coffee table by Richmond Virginia Artist Sam Forrest comprised of Laminated, carved, and stained oak,. Beautiful curvy composition with a warm patina. This example from the 1970s and a part of his earlier work. Sam Forrest’s work is in the same school of Wendell Castle.

Forrest’s work is currently on exhibit at the branch museum in Richmond Va through April 2022.

Condition:

Nice original finish with warm patina. Some light separations at some of the laminated joints but all are stable and inherent to the process.
