1970s Henning Kjaernulf Style Set of 6 Danish Oak and Wool Dining Chairs
A stunning set of 6 Brutalist Danish Oak dining chairs circa 1970. These chairs feature hand carved quarter sawn solid oak frames with great detailing. A contrasting red wool original fabric adorns the seats and is accented with neutral stripes and brass studded nails.
Henning Kjaernulf is renowned for his iconic farmhouse-inspired carved oak furniture designs, c. 1970s. These charming Provincial chairs feature low sculpted backs, an upholstered version of his "Razorblade" chair backs, elevating them beyond the Primitive to a higher caliber of style and functionality. Finely crafted with sturdy oak frames and period striped wool upholstery with nailhead trim detail. A handsome balance of traditional antique inspiration with a Scandinavian Modern twist.
