My work reflects a continual redefinition of myself—as an artist, mother, daughter, wife. I’m deeply interested in exploring the societal pressures to conform to a singular identity, particularly as a biracial female artist. Embracing the concept of mestiza, I navigate the space of limbo, rejecting rigid labels and expectations. I choose to exist beyond boundaries, allowing my work to evolve alongside me. Whether through collages, sculptures, or textiles, my art is a fluid expression of curiosity, shifting focus, and resisting the notion of being confined to any one medium or idea.
