Exceedingly rare 1960s Jorge Zalszupin Petalas coffee table. This table purchased from the original owner in Richmond Virginia. Only a few examples have ever resurfaced. The original owner purchased this example from a Brazilian record store that was importing furniture from Brazil in the 1960s . This one with thin plywood. The modern reproductions imported from Europe right now have a much thicker wood. Unlabelled. Guaranteed authentic.

Condition: On the few examples that have resurfaced the tips that meet the floor are always severly damaged. When we purchased this example it had undergone a vintage repair where the tips wthat meet the floor were cut off and new wood respliced in. We had this table refinished with grain painting over the tips. A very fine refinish job. Some of the original screws have been replaced.
