1960s Vladimir Kagan Swivel Barrel Chair on Brass Swivel and Rocking Pedestal
1960s Vladimir Kagan Swivel Barrel Chair on Brass Swivel and Rocking Pedestal
A unique swivel and rocking chair on a brass pedestal base designed by Vladimir Kagan and produced by Kagan-Dreyfuss Inc. This is the model 100a chair originally designed in 1947 but the design was modified by Vladimir Kagan in 1965 to have a brass pedestal base. A very uncommon variation of the iconic chair. Very substantial in weight but diminutive in scale, this chair is sure to anchor your next design. The chair swivels 360 degrees and has a generous ability to recline when leaned back in.
This chair would work well between organic sofas by Vladimir Kagan, or among works from other designers such as Robsjohn Gibbings, Tommi Parzinger, Edward Wormley, Etc.
