A set of four cocktail slipper chairs designed by Merton Gershun for American of Martinsville. These have often been attributed to Harvey Probber, but we were able to locate an original advertisement accrediting the correct designer. These chairs are lower to the ground for gaming and chatting and with the brass handle were designed to be able to be easily moved wherever extra seating is necessary. A very versatile design.

Condition: These chairs have received new foam and a luxurious crimson mohair upholstery. The wood frames show some light bumps and bruises consistent with age and use but show very well.
