A large scale work by Jean Brisson-Duval (1931-1999). A French painter this work is untitled and dated 1971. This work consists of impasto sand paint with a thick texture built up on a wood board. The colors are warm neutrals with cool blues splashed around. An extraterrestrial or primitive subject matter with what appear to be hieroglyphics.

Dimensions: W 83.5” x H 83.5” x D 2”

Condition: Shows very well. Some light splatter in some areas. Some losses where wood shows through but appears to be intentional. A slight warping to the frame.
