1950s Edward Wormley for Dunbar no. 5510 lounge chair in Mohair, Ash and Brass
The infamous model 5510 arm chair designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. This chair is best known for its iconic advertisement where's its swinging from a tree (see the last photo). Upholstered in an Emerald Mohair fabric, careful attention was paid to restore the upholstery back to original specifications. The front of the chair sports a double welt cord continuing from each arm. Gentle curves flow throughout the piece and are mimicked in the rear legs of the ash frame. 6 way hand tied springs and no sag straps are signature construction details in Edward Wormley's pieces and provide construction meant to last generations.
