1950s 77" Edward Wormley for Dunbar 5526 armless sofa Mohair and Wool

$0.00

A 1950s iconic armless sofa designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar Furniture model 5526. Reupholstered in a green mohair base with neutral diagonal striped wool loose cushions. A very airy form, the sofa looks like its floating on the 4 legs. New foam and upholstery, this sofa was painstakingly restored to exact specifications from original Dunbar catalogue photos. A matching sofa at 98” long is also available to make a nice L shape sectional. The fabric is new old stock fabric form Vladimir Kagan’s personal estate. Would pair well with designs by Harvey Probber, and Robsjohn Gibbings. Unmarked, but the sofa has the Dunbar construction with metal brackets attaching the legs to the sofa and no sag woven springs.
