A whimsical wilted flower with an ostrich foot base all out of stack laminated and carved cherry. The bottom of the sculpture with a heavy stippled finish that fades to a sanded smooth finish near the top. A unique sculpture that can be interpreted as a wilting flower or a young tulip about to bloom. Unknown maker but in the manner of Wendell Castle or Sam Forrest.
Unsigned. Circa 1960’s.

Condition: Some splitting in areas, due to natural shrinkage. All splits are table.
